If you think that severely limiting the portions you eat on a daily basis is the best way to lose weight, you couldn’t be further from the truth. When you suddenly limit the calories you consume, your body will feel the new change as you being starved.
As a result, your body goes into survival mode and starts storing ANY food you consume, turning it into sugar and fats… causing you to GAIN weight rather than lose it. There is no one best way to lose weight but with the following tips I’m about share with you, if you make a conscious effort to do them, you will lose the excess weight quickly.
* Before eating any meal, always drink a cup of water and eat either a fruit or have some salad to prevent you from overstuffing yourself at meal time.
* Drink at least 2 liters of water daily. Not at one go but space the drinking throughout the day. You see sometimes when our body is thirsting for water; we mistake the signs for us being hungry.
When you drink the daily recommended water dosage, you will avoid mistaking water for food.
* Do you eat any junk or processed food? Do you drink sodas? If you answered yes to either one or both, then you would be best advised to throw them out IMMEDIATELY. There are zero nutrients in these foods and the only thing you are adding to your body by eating them is FATS.
If you’re finding it tough to cut them out completely, start minimizing your weekly consumption and then work from there until you stay away from fast food for good.
* Always eat a diet that’s rich in high fiber. This would mean eating fiber rich fruits like apple, banana, blackberries, guava, pears etc. and fiber rich vegetables like broccoli, pumpkin, spinach, cabbage, eggplant etc.
Doing so will keep your body full for most of the day, meaning you won’t have any ‘snack attack’ pangs. Practice these in your daily life and you should see and feel the difference in your body shape soon.
